The Wernick Method Jam Camp, hosted by Ira Gitlin, returns to Granite Hill Camping Resort in May 2026!
Join us for four days of hands-on instruction and participation, May 11–14, immediately prior to the Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival. Whether you’re looking to gain confidence, learn how to jam with others, or finally take your playing out of the living room, this immersive experience is designed to help you make real music with real people.

About the Director:

Ira Gitlin (College Park, MD) is widely known and respected in Washington and Baltimore music circles as a versatile multi-instrumentalist, teacher, and writer. A winner of the National Bluegrass Banjo Championship at Winfield, he has also performed with such nationally known performers as the Johnson Mountain Boys, Laurie Lewis, and Peter Rowan. Ira has taught at many camps and workshops, helping students master the basic skills that will make them a welcome presence at any jam session.
