Dear Friends in Bluegrass,
Granite Hill Camping Resort is proud to celebrate a remarkable legacy of bluegrass in Gettysburg. As a family-owned and operated business with deep roots in Adams County—first as a working farm and later as Gettysburg’s very first campground—we are honored to host one of the area’s most beloved and enduring music traditions.
Our internationally acclaimed Gettysburg Bluegrass Festivals are among Adams County’s premier music events, welcoming bands and fans from around the world each May and August. With approximately 15-20 bands performing on two stages over four unforgettable days, the festivals offer something for every fan of this purely American genre. Year after year, thousands of attendees return to Granite Hill to experience the music, the community, and the unmistakable spirit of bluegrass.
Festival-goers travel from near and far, making their way through Gettysburg and across Adams County—exploring our historic town, supporting local businesses, and enjoying all that the region has to offer. We invite you to partner with us in welcoming these visitors by taking advantage of a unique marketing and promotional opportunity tied to two highly anticipated events.
Festival sponsors reach a truly captive audience through on-stage announcements, promotional materials, advertising opportunities, and vendor engagement, both during the events and beyond. A variety of sponsorship levels are available, some of which include event tickets, VIP backstage access, and enhanced brand visibility. Sponsors may also choose to support special festival programming.
One initiative especially close to our hearts is the Academy for Kids, where children are introduced to bluegrass music and given hands-on opportunities to learn and play stringed instruments. We are deeply grateful to EASTMAN, makers of handcrafted guitars and mandolins, for their longstanding sponsorship of the Academy for more than two decades. Our sincere thanks to Tim Finch and the EASTMAN team for their continued commitment to nurturing the next generation of bluegrass musicians.
Thank you for your time and consideration. We hope you’ll agree that helping to keep bluegrass music alive and thriving in Gettysburg is a meaningful effort worth supporting. As bluegrass pioneer Bill Monroe once said, “Bluegrass has brought more people together and made more friends than any music in the world.”
We look forward to partnering with you and welcoming you to one—or both—of our upcoming Gettysburg Bluegrass Festivals.
Respectfully,
Cyndie and Rich Winkelmann, Promoters
